Foundation for Student Success

Initial Research Project

Initial Research Project

The initial research project consisted of seven mentor institutions, each of which agreed to work with three institutions (mentee institutions) over a two-year span. Mentee institutions committed to work towards achieving the student-success related goals they set for the two-year project. Each group of one mentor institution and three mentee institutions was referred to as a pod. The pods were identified in the fall of 2016.

Throughout the next two years the participants, in the form of pods, met in a variety of ways to discuss goals and progress on issues related to campus culture change and equity gap reduction.

After the two-year project, many lessons were discovered and key levers were identified in a final report .
